I've been drawing since I was big enough to hold a crayon, and making digital art since early in middle school. In 2013 I began putting art on my deviantart page, most of which is still visible there. I explored styles and mediums throughout highschool and college. In the Summer of 2020, fresh out of college and low on options, I decided to try my hand at making it my career.
2020 and much of 2021 I dedicated to social media and to refining my fundamentals. It was the first time I'd considered art as a viable career path, and so there were a lot of areas I'd avoided learning for a long time. After all, when you're painting for fun, there's not much reason to embark on the decidedly not-fun process of honing your perspective skills, your anatomy, your backgrounds, your storytelling. My comfort zone was comfortable. My comfort zone would not bring me an income.
Most of these paintings are from those years.
From Spring 2022 - Fall 2024 I sold my art in person on an almost weekly basis. At the beginning of my 2024 season I began my newsletter, which gradually became this website's blog. You can read more there to see my transition away from professional art.
This portfolio represents the paintings I'm most proud of. They are my masterpieces. If and when I decide to paint like this again, there's a good chance they'll see themselves replaced by newer works, but for now this is my best offering.
